What is an ASO?

An Administrative Services Organization (ASO) provides comprehensive HR solutions for small and mid-size businesses, just like a PEO. However, an ASO does not become a co-employer of the client company’s employees.

How are my taxes handled ASO vs PEO?

With PEO, your employees are employed by CalmHR, therefore your employees W-2 comes from CalmHR, whereas with an ASO, there is no co-employer arrangement. Thus, your employees receive a W-2 with your company EIN.
